In the treatment room
The second cleanse is where a lot of treatments quietly go wrong. Strip the skin here and everything that follows — exfoliation, actives, extractions — lands on a compromised barrier.
Marigold Morning removes what the first cleanse loosened while holding pH and barrier integrity, so the skin arrives at the next step calm and properly prepped rather than tight and reactive.
Best for
Protocol
Marigold Morning is the water-based second cleanse in a double cleanse. It is gentle enough to be the only cleanse for a client arriving with bare skin.

Moonlight Milk on dry skin to dissolve makeup, SPF and surface oil. Massage slowly, adding water for slip.
1–2 pumps of Marigold Morning on dry or damp skin. Dampen fingertips to emulsify, then remove with a warm, damp towel.
Blend a teaspoon of a powder booster into the cleanser in your palm to make the cleanse do a little more.
Skin is clean, pH balanced and comfortable — ready for exfoliation, extractions or actives.
A note on assessment
Assess skin condition, treatment history, current home care and contraindications before every treatment. This formula contains essential oils — see the ingredient list below before treating fragrance-sensitive clients.
Mixology
Because it is a creamy gel rather than a foaming wash, Marigold Morning takes a powder booster beautifully. It is one of the easiest ways to adjust a treatment to the skin in front of you without adding a step.
Ways to build on it
The formula
A pH balanced gel built on aloe rather than water, with the hydrating and conditioning agents inside the cleanser instead of left for the next step to fix.
Keeps skin cells hydrated through the cleanse, which is most of why it never finishes tight.
Calms dry, stressed skin and supports barrier function.
Rich in allantoin. Conditions and protects stressed skin.
A gentle renewing action during cleansing — enough to refresh the surface, not enough to count as an exfoliation step.
Vitamin E rich, softening, and part of why the gel has cream-cleanser cushion.
Helps balance oil production and gives the cleansing ritual its fresh botanical note.

Formulator’s note
“I wanted the cushion of a cream cleanser with the freshness and ease of a gel.
It needed to cleanse thoroughly while still leaving the skin soft, supple, and never stripped.”

Yes. 8 fl oz for the back bar, 4 fl oz for home care — identical formula, so the cleanse your client gets on the bed is the one they continue at home.
As the second cleanse, after Moonlight Milk Balm-to-Milk Cleanser. For a client arriving with bare skin it is gentle enough to be the only cleanse.
Yes — it takes powder well. A teaspoon of Super Fruit C for gentle enzymatic resurfacing, or Matcha + Oat Milk when the skin wants calming. Blend in the palm with a little water first.
Lightly. It makes a soft, creamy lather, and can be whipped into a froth with a little water and a fan brush if you like working that way.
Yes — neroli, geranium, grapefruit and rosemary, at the end of the ingredient list. Check the full list above before treating clients who react to essential oils.
Its gentle cleansing system suits skin that needs a more supportive cleanse. Follow your own post-treatment protocol for the client in front of you.
Yes. Healthy cleansing is about balance rather than stripping — it removes excess oil while holding the barrier. Blend in Matcha + Oat Milk when the skin is also reactive.
