Hydration is the foundation of any routine, and it is the step most often skipped in a rush to get to the active. A hyaluronic serum layered onto damp skin gives everything that follows something to hold onto.
Two molecular weights matter here: the lighter fraction goes deeper, the heavier one holds water at the surface. And because it emulsifies into an oil, you can build a weightless hydrating layer for the oily client who will not tolerate a cream.
Where it fits
Protocol
Hyaluronic acid pulls water from wherever it can find it. Give it somewhere to pull from and something to hold it in.

Apply to damp skin — a hydrosol underneath makes a real difference.
Press into face and neck. Do not let it dry down bare.
Follow with Freedom Fighter or Mama Pacha so the water stays where you put it.
Blend ½–1 pump into a face oil, serum or moisturiser — ideal for oily skin.
Before you treat
Assess skin condition and contraindications. This formula is free of essential oils, which makes it a safe base layer for reactive skin.
Formulator’s note
“Our estheticians all agree on one thing: hydration is the foundation of any universal routine. Get that right and half the problems people bring us settle down on their own.
So I built this on pomegranate juice and flower waters rather than plain water, with two weights of hyaluronic acid so it works at more than one depth. It adapts to whatever skin it lands on — which is exactly what you want from the layer that goes under everything else.”

The formula
pH-balancing and adaptable — formulated to sit under anything without arguing with it.
Low and medium molecular weight — hydration at more than one depth.
The base is juice, not water — phyto-active compounds with natural soothing character.
Skin-balancing flower waters, and the only source of the aroma.
A penetrating moisturiser that supports comfort and recovery.
Minimally processed and more potent than green tea — soothing antioxidant support.

It goes under almost everything, which makes it one of the most-used bottles on the trolley.

If a client buys one thing, this is usually the one that changes the most.
Professional questions
Hyaluronic acid draws water from its surroundings. On dry skin in a dry room it can pull from the skin itself — mist first, and always seal after.
Yes. Half to one pump blended into a face oil, serum or moisturiser gives you a light micro-emulsion — an ideal combination for oily skin.
Milk + Tansy is a bi-phase essence with a lipid element. Ramblin’ Rose is purely a water-phase hyaluronic layer — many routines use both, essence first.
Very. It hydrates with no oil at all, which is exactly what congested skin usually needs.
None. The scent comes from the rose and neroli hydrosols in the base.
