A hydrosol is not a supporting player in a facial — it is what you reach for between every other step. Prep, re-wet, soften, refresh, layer. That is why this comes in 8 fl oz.
Damask rose is the one for dry, mature or dehydrated skin, and it is the aroma clients most often name when they ask what you used.

Assess skin condition and contraindications. This is a single-botanical distillate with no added fragrance — confirm rose sensitivity with the client as you would any botanical.

Distillate, not fragrance
“Most of what gets sold as rose water is water with fragrance in it. A true hydrosol is what comes off the still when you distil the flowers — it carries the water-soluble compounds of the plant, and it smells like the flower because it is the flower.
I use it constantly in the treatment room. It preps, it re-wets a mask, it makes everything you layer afterwards work better. The aroma is the part clients remember, but the hydration is the part their skin does.”

Is this the same as rose water?
It is a true steam-distilled hydrosol, not water with rose fragrance added. The aroma and the hydration both come from the flower.
Which hydrosol for which skin?
Damask Rose for dry, mature or dehydrated skin. Lemon Balm + Neroli for oily, congested or reactive skin.
Can I re-mist a mask with it?
Yes — that is one of its most useful jobs. It keeps a drying mask workable and far more comfortable.
Is there a retail version?
Yes. The same hydrosol is available in a retail size, so clients can continue at home with exactly what you used.
How should it be stored?
Keep it cool and out of direct sun. A hydrosol with a gentle ferment preservative prefers not to sit in a warm window.
