Why it works

Coffee gives you a spike and a slump. Matcha gives you L-theanine alongside the caffeine, which is why the energy feels calm rather than jittery.
We built Genmai Chai around that, then added the chai spices — turmeric and ginger for their anti-inflammatory heft, cinnamon and nutmeg for warmth, black pepper because it makes turmeric far more absorbable. Toasted rice rounds it off with a nutty sweetness that means you will not reach for sugar.

Matcha Green Tea
Ceremonial-grade, shade-grown. Caffeine plus L-theanine for calm, sustained focus, and a heavy dose of antioxidant catechins.
Turmeric
Curcumin, the compound behind turmeric's colour, is one of the best-studied natural anti-inflammatories.
Ginger
Warming, digestive and anti-inflammatory — the zesty note in the cup.
Toasted Rice
The genmai in genmaicha. Nutty, gently sweet, and the reason the blend needs no sugar.
Cinnamon + Nutmeg
Warmth, and a hand in steadying blood sugar.
Black Pepper
Piperine increases the absorption of curcumin many times over. A pinch is all it takes.

One to two teaspoons into your mug.

Add a splash of hot milk or milk alternative and whisk to a smooth paste — the frother makes this effortless.

How much caffeine is in it?
Roughly a third of a cup of coffee per serving — enough to lift, not enough to rattle.
Can I drink it in the evening?
Body Harmony is the evening blend and is caffeine free. Keep Genmai Chai for mornings and early afternoons.
Is it sweetened?
No. The toasted rice gives a natural sweetness; add honey or maple if you like it sweeter.
Does it clump?
Matcha always wants a whisk. Make a paste with a splash of hot liquid first, then top up. Our stainless steel frother does it in ten seconds.
How long does a tin last?
Around a month with one serving a day.
